Dear Parents,
St. Clare Student Leadership Council/Awards:
This week we rolled out our new programs, St. Clare of Assisi Student Leadership Council and Awards. Each eighth grader has a document that explains the philosophy and procedures. The embodiment of true leadership through service and respect, reverence, and responsibility is the mission of our program and our school. Please ask your son or daughter what the Three R's might look like in our daily life at St. Clare's. All 8th graders, the student leaders of SCA, are council members. Please look for further information about in-school and off-site activities that will promote service and leading by example.
Kinder-Buddies:
The 8th and Kinders met at the end of the school day last friday and became fast friends. We look forward to becoming friends with our Kinder buddies this school year through prayer, work, and play. Our next activity will include teaching the Kinders about the 3 R's, respect, reverence and responsibility, and sitting with one another during mass.
Back to School Night 30 minutes (6:00)
Please come 30 minutes before the 6:30 start time to more about the fundraising projects and needs already in place for the Santa Fe Trip in May. Other 8th grade specific information will also be given. This way, you will have time to visit the classrooms of your other children. More information to follow as we near Back to School Night on September 9th. School wide Back to School Night begins at 6:30 pm.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am here for you! averratti@stclareparish.com.
Thanks,
Anne Verratti
