FIRST RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION)

What is Confession?

What is its purpose and its effects?

What are its requirements?

Can we confess our sins directly to God, or must we go through a priest?

All children must be already baptized in order to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Preparation for the reception of First Reconciliation takes place within the parish religious education program for children in public school and within the school religion class for children attending our Catholic school. All children are to be prepared for the sacrament of reconciliation prior to the reception of their first holy Communion.
